Day 1. Quito (International Arrival)
Upon arrival to Quito’s Mariscal Sucre Airport, you will be greeted by our helpful guide. The guide will serve as a translator, help with luggage, and assist with the car transfer to your hotel. Hotel accommodations. Illa or similar -/-/-
Day 2. Quito Culinary Heritage
After breakfast, the guide will pick you up at your hotel; we will share the gastronomy heritage of the city, visiting some of the landmarks that have kept the flavors and secrets that have been passed down from generation to generation. On this Legend Route, we will visit places that preserve colonial recipes, especially those developed in the monasteries of Quito and we will earn about Andean cuisine through recipes that have been kept for centuries, including drinks and sweets that still can be savored. Day 3. Cayambe and Guayllabamba
After enjoying an early breakfast, the tour will depart to Imbabura province to the South in Cayambe, agricultural potential producer of flowers, onions and potatoes. Different dairy products and meat are also produced. There, the culinary level is famous for its biscuits (bizcochos) made from wheat flour, served with hot chocolate and cheese (queso de hoja). The next stop is Guayllabamba, located 25 km from Quito; this is a meeting point for all those who want to enjoy typical dishes, the new flavors and great recipes such as “locro de papas”, which is an old dish from the time of the Incas that essentially prepares with potatoes and cheese. The Chirimoya is a sweet fruit that is tasty and juicy, easy to eat; the Spaniards called it "manjar blanco", the fiber intake improves intestinal transit and benefits multiple disorders and diseases. Day 4. Chaltura and Cotacachi Town
This day you can enjoy the scenery, family crafts and small Andean towns workshops while we are going to Chaltura located three kilometers of Atuntaqui, it is a place famous for the preparation of the delicious Guinea pig dish that is accompanied by mote, toast, corn, potatoes. It delights the most discerning palates and announced at the same time the agricultural potential of the canton. Besides, you can taste the typical and refreshing ice cream of cream or fruit, accompanied by traditional sweets. Day 5. Pomasqui, Middle of the World and Mindo
We left early in the morning to the Northeast exactly towards the center of the world, on the same route is Pomasqui, whose specialty is a dish based on FRY PORK (fritada), its origin goes back to the colonial era, around the year 1800. Day 6. Mindo
