DAY 1. BOGOTA
Welcome and assistance at the El Dorado Airport. Transfer to the Hotel and check-in.
DAY 2. BOGOTA - CITY TOUR
Panoramic tour through the historic center of Bogota, also called "La Candelaria”. The Gold Museum will be visited. There, are about 34,000 pre-Hispanic gold pieces and more than 25,000 pre-Columbian objects. Later, we will visit the Casa de la Moneda and the Botero Donation, where are exhibited artworks of Fernando Botero, an internationally recognized Colombian artist in painting, drawing, and sculpture. The tour will end with a panoramic by the Marco de la Plaza de Bolívar: The Cathedral, The House of Nariño (Presidency of Colombia), The Lievano Palace (Bogota´s Mayor hall) and The Palace of Justice. Ascend to Monserrate. Duration: 04 Hours / Includes: Entrance to Gold Museum, Casa De La Moneda and Botero Donation, guide service and private transportation. Important Note: The Gold Museum is closed on Monday, Casa de la Moneda and Botero Donation are closed on Tuesday. In the afternoon, return to the hotel.
DAY 3. BOGOTA – LETICIA
Welcome and assistance at Leticia airport. Typical welcome lunch at the reservation. Canopy tour Tanimboca Nature Reserve: Tour to the reserve located 11 km from Leticia, where you ascend to a platform climbing rope 35 meters high to reach the canopy (there is also a manual system which doesn´t require physical activity). The crossing between the 3 platforms is made by means of a “Zipline” (canopy tour), the distance between the first two is 35 meters and the third one 110 meters away, and the suspension bridge 25 meters away. Return to Leticia. Panoramic tour of Leticia: Visit the ethnographic museum and Santander park where a beautiful set of thousands of parrots will be observed. Dinner at Tierras Amazonas restaurant (à la carte dishes with a drink). Accommodation at Hotel Waira
DAY 4. PUERTO NARIÑO
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit Mocagua, an indigenous community which expresses itself by painting murals as part of a community art project. Later visit Maukichiga Foundation where processes related to the research and protection of different primate species are advanced. Transfer to Puerto Nariño, lunch and accommodation in the hotel. In the afternoon visit the Tarapoto lakes for the possible sighting of the pink and gray Amazon dolphin. Dinner and overnight at Waira Selva Hotel in Puerto Nariño.
DAY 5. LETICIA
Breakfast at the hotel. At 07:00 am transfer from Puerto Nariño to Leticia. Walking tour to the Huitoto indigenous community. An ecology walk through the jungle will be done in order to reach the main Maloka of the community (main social and spiritual center of the communities). Dialogue with the Curaca (spiritual master, knowledge of their culture, preparation of the Mambe, monkfish or Ambil (medicinal herbs). Lunch-time with typical Huitoto food. Possibility of bathing in the Tacana brook (depending on weather conditions). Dinner and accommodation in hammocks with mosquito net within the maloca of the community. Night of fascinating myths and legends tales!
DAY 6. LETICIA - CARTAGENA
Return to Leticia. Breakfast at the hotel. Freetime before taking the flight to Cartagena. Arrival and welcome at the airport in Cartagena. Check-in hotel. Dinner.
DAY 7. CARTAGENA – ISLA DEL ENCANTO
Breakfast at the hotel. At 08:30h departure to the Pegasos Pier. There, a speedboat or yacht will be boarded and with a panoramic tour of the Bay of Cartagena and Bocachica, you will admire a beautiful landscape with the forts of San Fernando and San José. Arrival to the Island of Barú, the base island in the Rosario Islands. Overnight in Barú.
DAY 8. CARTAGENA CITY TOUR
Return to Cartagena. Lunch. Walking tour by Getsamani. This is a vibrant and authentic neighborhood located next to the old city. Getsemany is one of the unique areas where you could find poets, guests from all over the country and the world, but mostly locals! Free time.
DAY 9. CARTAGENA – PANAMA
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Panama City. Transfer from the airport to the Tour by the Soberanía Park and Miraflores Locks (Esclusas de Miraflores). In this lock, the ships descend about 8 meters at Miraflores Lake level, which separates the two sets of locks at the Pacific side. After this descent is made, the ship is at the level of the Pacific Ocean Drop in the Hotel.
DAY 10. PANAMA
This is a guided tour through the most important and iconic places of Panama La Vieja (Old City), named as a world-historical heritage place, it was the first city founded by the Spanish on the Pacific coast in 1519 and in turn, compare the contrast between Colonial Panama and Contemporary. The tour begins with the most traditional residential and commercial areas, crossing the banking zone and the modern zone of the city. Then heading towards Panama La Vieja, Casco Antiguo or colonial, built in 1673 as a result of the destruction of the original capital, with its narrow streets, squares and parks still preserved great history. Visit to the Seafood Market to taste a delicious ceviche. Transfer to the international airport.
