Approximately three hours. We visit the main museums of the city combining history, textiles, ethnography and folklore with the most representative outdoors sites such as plazas, and parks, as well as the architecture.
City Tour visiting: Textile Museum of Indian Arts ASUR, located in a beautiful colonial neighborhood in Sucre, run by Antropologos del Surandino (ASUR), this excellent museum displays of regional textiles and
traditional techniques . This program starts with the goal of revitalizing the traditional Tarabuco and Jalq'a textile areas. It exhibits traditional and contemporary textile production, a valuable Tiahuanaco collection and two music and dances halls. Liberty House, formerly the Assembly Hall of the Jesuit University,
where the country’s Declaration of Independence was signed, this house contains a famous portrait of Simon Bolivar. Its construction dates from 1621 as part of the Jesuits convent, later made a part of the building of the University, is the most important national historic landmark. It was a private chapel of the Jesuits and auditorium of the University.
Options. - You can choose from the following museums: Liberty House, ASUR textile museum, Recoleta Convent and Museum, San Felipe Nery viewpoint (Liberty House is closed Monday)
